New music| Partnership
It has been ten years when I recorded my first song for project ‘Songs from Basement”. Su.N Sakhiye and w.t.f.l. followed. It was the heart warming love of few yet enough listeners that I still find myself going on relentlessly, perhaps recklessly too. As blind such love be, it doesn’t require eyes to tell, which way the slope beneath our feet is headed. First two records were distributed online and also made available on platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. A few days ago I heard from my digital distributors that I can choose to ship back my three physical albums they had in their inventory or it will be recycled. The letter also carried a cheque of 240 dollars, my total earning in last ten years. I took it as my retirement sum, as I have grown too old to hold onto those slippery showcases.
I am not retiring- the opposite in fact. I have produced more in last two years than in previous eight. I am doing great. w.t.f.l. Will continue, while I cut another folk record. I have too many “working titles” for it at the moment to announce the name but two good things will happen. First is easy, you will hear a new tune more often though It will only be a snippet. Second part; it will be available for copyright partnership. Details will follow soon, but listener can make an offer to buy out a song. ‘Buying’ here implies that the artist and collector share the commercial copyrights and share in profit (if any) in case of distribution. Once someone adopts a song, full version will be posted on this website and released online when all the songs in a particular project are collected. Collector receives “full song’ in high definition audio and the page where original song is written, and maybe a few more goodies along with a partnership contract(please do not ask for, or send nudes).
Now you enjoy whatever brought you here, while I record something for you to find out in a week’s time.
