Blank is inconceivable. A surface can be challenged, manipulated, or even mastered. It existed before temptation, often unwitnessed. In our brief time, we dig, curate and write our stories on the ever-existing surface. Surface is a gift and the artist is the playful child. MITOSIS is an artist's reflection on his mischievous glance at the surface, catching himself synthesizing multiple viewpoints of a singular object. Art pieces in the "Fracking" series are minimal and 3-dimensional, exhibiting the artist's physical indulgence with surfaces; cut-open and rearranged to synthesize new ways of looking.
